Rippln: The New Hand Held Revolution

With the recent events at the Boston Marathon tragedy, as a nation we were exposed to the use of social media and it’s power as pictures of the (at the time) alleged bombers were all over the net, and other news on the bombing incident were not only plastered on our collective television screens…they could be found on any hand-held device with a wi-fi connection.

That says an awful lot about how we view content in general.

Podcasting and You: A Discussion to Follow on LinkedIn

Hi everyone.

I want to point all of you to a discussion on LinkedIn about pod casting. The discussion is called Social Media and was started by a group member named Tina.

Obviously there is a reason why I’d like you to take a look at this discussion, but I’ll get into that in a new post (which I may turn into an article series) because I will be starting to do Pod Casting (possibly here) but definitely on a soon to be created blog called “Comics Eye” something that’s been exclusive to Hubpages, but I feel it’s time to move Comics Eye to its own independent platform.

More on that coming up shortly, but I’d love to see your comments about the discussion on LinkedIn about Pod casting and Social Media.

The Wednesday Buzz-3/20/13

This week I thought I would focus on a few of the social network sites and see what’s going on with them.

First let’s take a look at Pinterest.

Pinterest-on the Pinterest blog, after a small test was conducted with a small group of users (pinners) and some feedback from those same users Pinterest took some of that feedback and made some changes and I’m going to blatantly borrow some of the text from the blog…

“We added a few new things to the close-up view of pins to help you discover things you love that you might not have known about otherwise, including:

The Wednesday Buzz

Hey!

Again, before I go any further, I have to apologize to everyone who’s been coming to the blog and just not finding it updated as often as it could or should be.

Due to my less than healthy life at the moment I’ve had to attend to my health issues above all else at the moment, but I see that KeyWords Media’s User list continues to grow and far outpace my blog posting.

So I’m going to get back into the swing of things beginning today with “The Wednesday Buzz.”

Could You Profit from Affiliate Marketing?

Whether you have a blog or a website or even if you have neither you can get into affiliate marketing…but you’ll have to work it.

If you’re a seasoned blogger or website owner then I’m guessing that you’re more than familiar with affiliate marketing, but for someone who’s just getting their feet wet on the web and have never heard of affiliate marketing I’ll provide an explanation…and I have to tip my hat to Darren Rowse of ProBlogger for this explanation…

“Perhaps the simplest way to explain affiliate marketing is that it is a way of making money online whereby you as a publisher are rewarded for helping a business by promoting their product, service or site.

Is it Time to Drop That Annoying Client?

I find myself with a problem…and maybe its one that you’ve found yourselves with as well. Clients that either come and go, or constantly ask you to do jobs that will take up your precious time, and in the end will not pay you enough for the efforts that you will put into their work.

Over the past few months leading up to the new year I was a little disillusioned with the efforts that I was putting into writing.

Social Media 2013: Part 6 Making Connections with Flauntt

flauntt, social media, business branding, brandingHey there and welcome to the last part of my series Social Media: Own 2013 using its Awesomeness. In this article I want to talk about what I’m going to say (and I’m going out on a limb here) could possibly be the sleeper social platform of 2013.

It’s called Flauntt, and I recently did a short post about it a just a few weeks ago. I’m sure that many of you probably never heard of it before so I want to really go into some depth about the platform and how it’s going to help you build your company’s brand in an organic way.
